The Graduate Institute of Social Work at National Chengchi University (Taiwan) invites applications for a tenure-track position in Social Work/Social Welfare at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor.
Our Institute is committed to building a scholarly community dedicated to social inclusion and justice. We seek leading or emerging voices in various social domains who demonstrate a strong commitment to promoting social equity in Taiwan, throughout Asia or internationally.
Position Start Date: August 1, 2026
- Ph.D. in Social Work, Social Welfare, or a related field
- Demonstrated research potential or scholarly achievements
- Proficiency in both Mandarin and English
- Prior teaching or professional experience is preferred
- A complete application received by December 5, 2025, will be given full consideration.
- Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview and a job talk.

- Curriculum Vitae (including a list of publications)
- Scanned copy of diploma for the highest degree [1]
- Scanned transcript of the highest degree [2]
- (If available) Scanned copy of the University-level Teacher’s Certificate issued by the Taiwan Ministry of Education
- Up to three selected empirical research publications from the past five years
- Research statement
- At least two course syllabi (one in Mandarin, one in English)
- Two letters of professional reference
Additional Requirement for Assistant-level Applicants:
- PDF of the doctoral dissertation
[1] Applicants with overseas degrees must have their diplomas authenticated by Taiwan’s embassies or representative offices abroad, following NCCU faculty appointment regulations.
[2] Applicants who have already been certified by Taiwan’s Ministry of Education as university-level teachers do not need to submit a transcript.
