The Graduate Institute of Social Work, National Chengchi University in Taiwan, invites applications for a tenure-track position in Social Work/Social Welfare at the rank of Assistant/Associate/Full Professorship.

Our Institute is committed to building a community of scholars whose work contributes to social inclusion and social justice. We seek leading or emerging voices in various social domains who possess a demonstrated commitment to advancing social equity in Taiwan, Asia, or internationally.

Candidates who can teach courses at the graduate level in Social Research Methods and Aging Practice and Policy are preferred.

The position starting date is August 1st, 2022

QULIFICATIONS

• Ph.D. in Social Work/Social Welfare or related fields
• A record of excellent potential in research
• A strong command of both Mandarin and English is required
• Experiences in teaching or practice are preferred

• A scanned copy of diploma of the highest degree^a
• A scanned copy of graduate transcript of the highest degree^b
• If available, a scanned copy of the University-level Teacher’s Certificate issued by the Taiwan Ministry of Education
• Selected empirical research publications (maximum 3)
• Research statement
• Course syllabus (minimum 2, in Mandarin and English)
• Two letters of professional references

For Assistant-level Applicants, Also:

• A PDF of the doctoral dissertation

^a Applicants who received a degree from overseas: the degree or diploma needs to be authenticated by the ROC’s Embassies or Representative Offices abroad, as regulated by the NCCU regulation for Faculty Appointments and Promotions.

^b Applicants who are certified by the Taiwan Ministry of Education as Teachers at the University level, do not need to submit their transcript.
